Gianna Homes is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Memory
Care home located in a beautiful residential neighborhood in Minnetonka, MN.
Our model of care is unique in that we focus on an individualized approach of
care for each of our memory care residents that allows them to thrive. Our
basic staffing ratio is 1 nursing aide to 3 residents, full-time RN, weekly
massage/aroma therapy, rounding NP weekly, and rounding podiatry group. We are
looking for a Registered Nurse who is a leader, self-starter, organized, and
caring person to manage the care of our residents and helping them to enjoy
each day to the fullest. This position is scheduled day shift Monday through
Friday with some flexibility for start/end time. Currently Gianna Homes has 3
on-call RNs that manage after-hours resident needs. There may be occasions that
you would need to pick up a night of on-call, but these are few and far
between. Daily stipend and hourly rate apply to on-call shifts.
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Comprehensive planning, organization, direction, and
follow-through skills
- Strong supervisory, team building and communication
skills
- Works efficiently by triaging and prioritizing needs
- Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and experience
with electronic medical records (i.e. Eldermark)
- Embrace a holistic approach to their nursing practice
- Competency and experience preferred (minimum of 2 years)
in care management, staff development, resident and family support systems,
geriatric nursing with a focus on memory care
- Current unrestricted Minnesota RN license and experience
with Comprehensive home care license
The RN will:
- Manage resident’s individualized service plans
- Supervise and manage direct care staff
- Coordinate with doctors and other ancillary service
providers to deliver quality care to residents
- Promote a positive, team approach and a healthy work
environment
- Lead staff by maintaining respectful relationships,
training, developing, and coaching
