The Director of Nursing ensures the quality of patient/resident care, services and outcomes. Integrate nursing functions with other disciplines to ensure a team approach to the holistic care of the patients/ residents that is consistent with the Ebenezer philosophy.  Has a strategic approach to maintaining standards within Ebenezer.

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Ensures the quality and clinical compliance of nursing care for residents
  • Plans, develops and directs new and enhanced health care programs
  • Provides ongoing leadership and oversite of the nursing department
  • Assists with hiring and training
  • Adheres to budgets
  • Supports a marketing plan aimed at full occupancy
  • Supports relationships between nursing and medical staff
  • Stays current regarding long-term care trends and state/federal regulations
  • Represents Ebenezer to the external community

Qualifications

  • Current MN RN licensure
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree: BSN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Preference given to those with Certified Gerontogical Nursing license
  • Three to five years previous experience including: LTC and supervisory experience, Medicare and MN Case Mix Reimbursement preferred
